This page explains what personal data Oryn may collect, how it is used, when it may be shared, and what rights users may have regarding that data.

Oryn AI (hereinafter "Oryn AI" (ALLIE LTD) or "We") values the privacy of all of our users and has established this Privacy Policy to show commitment to these rights and to safeguard your privacy. Please refer to this Privacy Policy to find out how to contact us if you have any questions about the contents herein. By using our app, website or other related services (hereinafter "Service") you consent to the contents of this Privacy Policy. We use Your Personal data to provide and improve the Service.

We will only collect and use the personal data you provide while using our Services, and the data described below. Unless otherwise stated, your personal information will not be used for any other purpose. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising purposes. We may disclose personal data only in the limited situations described in this Policy or as required by law.

Types of Data Collected

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide, or may collect, certain information that can be used to contact or identify you. Such information may include, but is not limited to:

  • Name
  • Gender
  • Profile information such as interests, wellness preferences, and meditation goals
  • Email (primary account)
  • Messages and content you send to the AI coach within the app
  • Meditation and session activity, including completed sessions, streaks, and goal progress
  • Usage data

Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service.

Usage Data may include information such as your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.

When you access the Service by or through a mobile device, we may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.

We may also collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service or when you access the Service by or through a mobile device.

AI Coach and Health-Related Information

Oryn includes an AI coach that provides guided meditation suggestions and wellness-related conversation. The following applies to your use of the AI coach and to any health-related information you provide:

  • You are interacting with AI. The AI coach is an automated software feature, not a human clinician. The app discloses the AI nature of the coach before you begin interacting with it, and again at appropriate intervals.
  • We do not sell or share your individually identifiable health information or the content of the messages you send to the AI coach with any third party, except: (a) to a health care provider or health plan at your request and with your consent; or (b) with service providers strictly as needed to operate the feature, under confidentiality obligations. Any disclosure to health care providers or health plans is handled consistently with applicable requirements, including 45 C.F.R. Parts 160 and 164 (HIPAA) where applicable.
  • We do not use your AI coach inputs for targeted advertising, and we do not use what you tell the coach to profile you for advertising purposes.
  • Recommendations and promotions. The AI coach may recommend Oryn content, sessions, or subscription plans. Where a recommendation constitutes a promotion of a product or service, or reflects a sponsorship or business affiliation, this will be disclosed. General recommendations of Oryn's own meditation content are provided as part of the Service.
  • Not medical care. Oryn is a wellness app and does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic treatment. Please see our Terms of Service for the full disclaimer and guidance on emergencies.

Use of Your Personal Data

The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain our Service, including to monitor the usage of our Service.
  • To manage your Account: to manage your registration as a user of the Service. The Personal Data you provide can give you access to different functionalities of the Service available to you as a registered user.
  • For the performance of a contract: the development, compliance, and undertaking of the purchase contract for the products, items, or services you have purchased or any other contract with us through the Service.
  • To contact you: To contact you by email or other equivalent forms of electronic communication, such as push notifications regarding updates or informative communications related to the functionalities, products, or contracted services, including security updates.
  • To provide you with news, special offers, and general information about goods, services, and events we offer, unless you have opted not to receive such information. These communications are not based on the content of your AI coach conversations.
  • To manage your requests: To attend and manage your requests to us.
  • For business transfers: We may use your information to evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets, in which personal data held by us is among the assets transferred.
  • For analytics and improvement: We may use your information for data analysis, identifying usage trends, and evaluating and improving our Service, products, and user experience.

Sharing of Your Personal Data

We may share your personal information only in the following situations:

  • With Service Providers: We may share your personal information with service providers strictly to operate, maintain, and analyze the Service, or to contact you. Service providers are bound by confidentiality obligations and may use the information only to provide services to us.
  • For business transfers: We may share or transfer your personal information during negotiations of any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
  • With Affiliates: We may share your information with our affiliates, and in this case, we will require them to honor this Privacy Policy.
  • With your consent: We may disclose your personal information for other purposes with your consent.
  • For legal reasons: We may disclose your information where required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your personal data with third parties for their own advertising or marketing, and we do not share the content of your AI coach conversations or your individually identifiable health information for advertising purposes.

Retention Time and Deletion of Personal Data

You have the right to modify or delete your personal data at any time by removing your profile from the App or website.

Alternatively, you can contact our Support Team, and they will assist you through the process.

Your personal data is retained for as long as necessary to provide our services, and you may request that the Data Controller suspend or delete it at any time. If you wish to remove personal data collected during your use of the Website/App, please send a request to our Support Team. Processing your request may take some time, so we appreciate your patience. Keep in mind that changing or deleting your personal data will only affect future activities and communications, and it will not undo any communications or data already shared with third parties as described in this Privacy Policy. Additionally, if you delete your personal data but continue using our other services, you may still receive communications regarding those services. We may also retain your personal data as required by law or for legitimate business interests of the Data Controller.

Please note that, even after the termination of your membership or deletion of personal data, some content may persist due to cached internet pages beyond the control of Oryn AI.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.

Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under 18.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from those under 18. If you are a parent and you become aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Rights of EU Users

In addition to rights set out in this Privacy Policy, if you are located in the European Union, as a data subject (a person whose personal information is collected, stored and processed) you have several rights under GDPR:

  • You have the right to obtain confirmation if your personal information is being processed by us. If that is the case, you can access your personal information and the following information: (a) the purposes of the processing; (b) the categories of personal information; (c) to whom the personal information has been or will be disclosed; (d) the envisaged period for which the personal information will be stored, or the criteria used to determine that period.

If you would like to have a copy of your personal information from us, we will provide it based on (1) you will prove your identity, (2) it will not adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others.

  • You have the right to demand that we erase your personal information, and we shall erase it without undue delay where one of the following grounds applies: (a) this personal information is no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were processed; (b) you withdraw consent if the processing was based on your consent, and where there is no other legal ground for the processing; (c) you object to the processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds; (d) your personal information has been unlawfully processed; (e) your personal information is to be erased for compliance with a legal obligation.
  • You have the right to receive your personal information which you provided us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have the right to transmit those data to another company, where: (a) the processing is based on your consent or on a contract; and (b) the processing is carried out by automated means.
  • You have the right to withdraw you consent for processing of your personal information at any time. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
